Environment Building

Environment Building
New Environment Building is innovative, CO neutral and wooden!
Environment Building
In our proposal new Environment Building is not one megastructure but scaled down to human level. It is part of new, continuous seaside cityscape - well connected to the existing city and future developments.
Environment Building
In the center of new Environment Building is green courtyard which doubles as exhibition space of Estonian Museum of Natural History. A - interior exhibition space of Estonian Museum of Natural History. B - “dock”, innovative wooden office space for Environmental Ministry. C - “townhouse”, wooden building with active street front.
Environment Building
New Environment Building is well connected inside, but has many entrances to ensure active street life.
Environment Building
Estonian Museum of Natural History exhibition spaces are around courtyard. Half of the museum is extensively green courtyard itself. Courtyard is slightly tilted, so it faces to the south and is protected from seaside.
Environment Building
All three volumes have distinctive atrium spaces with exposed wooden structures. Those extra high spaces lend identity to otherwise simple floor plans and office spaces.
