City Square of Põlva

City Square of Põlva
New City Square is placed next to the small river. This way new square would be clearly defined already at first building stage - without adjacent buildings. Also later, while city center develops, one side of the square will be always defined with water and old trees - square is the mediator between city and nature.

New pedestrian axis with freely placed bigger buildings connects square with existing city. One side of the axis has continuous street front. Here small scale multifunctional houses could be built to encourage local businesses.
